Lauren Laverne Celebrates BBC 6 Music's 10th Anniversary
BBC 6 Music is 10-years-old in March and to celebrate, Lauren will be taking her show to the BBC Maida Vale Studios along with some very special musical guests.
From Monday 12 to Friday 16 March 2012 the historic venue will play host to Lauren’s radio show which will feature live performances from some of the station’s most-loved bands.
Can't get to a live show? You will be able to WATCH Lauren's Maida Vale sessions live, including exclusive tracks, from 12:00 each day on the 6 Music homepage.
As well as this, you can join us and other 6 Music fans, every day, in our live conversation which will take place on 6 Music's homepage.

Who's performing for Lauren at Maida Vale?

SBTRKT will be joining Lauren at Maida Vale studios to kick off the week of special sessions. The musician and producer had an amazing 2011 with the critical acclaim surrounding his debut eponymous album. Expect to hear tracks from the album and chat with the man behind the mask.

The Modfather (and 6 Music favourite), Paul Weller, is Tuesday's special guest and he will be chatting with Lauren and playing songs from his new album, 'Sonik Kick's - along with classic hits from his extensive career that has been seminal to British music.

Pos & Dave from hip-hop legends De La Soul will be talking to Lauren while playing classic tracks along with new tracks from their new live hip-hop concept album with French producers Chokolate & Khalid, De La Soul’s Plug 1 & Plug 2 present First Serve.

Jason Pierce’s Spiritualized will be joining Lauren Laverne Maida Vale to play new material from their eagerly-awaited seventh album 'Sweet Heart Sweet Light'. They'll also be delving into their back-catalogue for your listening pleasure.

Orbital will be dusting off their head torches and joining Lauren to perform tracks from their first new album in eight years. The Hartnoll brothers called it a day after 2004’s 'Blue Album', but after re-forming in 2008, April will see their return with the LP 'Wonky'.
