Contribution Rules:
1. Listeners can take part by completing the online form here
2. Picks will be accepted between 31 December 2011 at 1300 until further notice. This window may change, with any change being announced on 6 Music and online.
3. Any picks submitted outside the announced interval will not count.
4. Listeners may only pick their selected tracks once. Listeners will be required to complete the comments box.
5. This is not a competition, nor a vote. There will be no winner and no prize.
6. Please note that anyone who is directly connected in any way with the production of the programme is not eligible to make a contribution. You must not be related (eg relative, close friend) or have any financial or other commercial connection with your picks. You must not have worked for them or on their behalf, or be planning to do so – eg PR, label, managing, promoting etc.
7. If for any reason systems fail, or in the event of a tie a contingency plan will be actioned.
8. The BBC cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any on-line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any pick being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
9. The BBC very much welcomes your picks. However it cannot guarantee they will be used, including but not limited to those containing errors in spelling or partial words.
10. The BBC may select your picks and comments for broadcast on 6 Music as part of the promotion of ‘6 Music 6 of the Best’.
11. The BBC reserves the right (i) to amend these rules; (ii) to disqualify picks if incomplete or an invalid email address is supplied, (iii) to disqualify or suspend picks if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraud has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the process; (iv) to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion and (v) to cancel, change or suspend ‘6Music 6 of the Best’ at any time, if in its sole opinion, it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
12. The personal information you provide to the BBC will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998; you can find out more by looking at the BBC’s Privacy Policy here. It will be used by the BBC for the purposes of making 6 Music 6 of the Best or referenced in 6 Music programmes in the context of 6 Music 6 of the Best.
