Christian O'Connell is an award winning radio presenter with eight prestigious Gold Sony Radio Awards (for his shows on Xfm, BBC Radio 5 live and Absolute Radio).

He began his broadcasting career on the Breakfast Show on 2CR Radio in Bournemouth, moving to Juice FM in Liverpool in 2000, joining Xfm to the host the Breakfast Show in 2002. Christian won five Sony Gold Awards for the show between 2002 and 2005, including DJ of the Year, Breakfast Show of The Year and the Entertainment award.

Christian presented BBC Radio 5 live's weekly sports panel show Fighting Talk between 2004 and 2005, winning a Sony Gold Award for best Sports Programme in 2006, before joining Virgin Radio (now Absolute) to host the Breakfast Show in January 2006.

Christian returned to 5 live to present The Christian O'Connell Solution in September 2009. He continues to present the Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio.
