What is 5 live Connect?

5 live Connect is live between 09:00-10:00 for Your Call on Breakfast every weekday morning and during other specially selected programmes.

5 live Connect is a webpage that pulls together your texts, pictures, emails, blog comments, tweets and facebook messages, which appear in real-time along with the discussion on-air.

To enhance the experience we embed video, audio, pictures and links into the page too.

The video belows explains the service.

The page updates itself with the most recently published comment, which saves you having to click refresh. The source of the message is indicated by the icon beside it as shown below.

All messages are pre-moderated, which means that we read them before deciding which to publish. We're not able to publish everything we're sent, as we receive hundreds during a topical debate, but we aim to show you a cross-section of opinion and avoid repetition.

We're also not able to publish messages that are likely to cause offence to other people, may cause legal problems or reveal personal details that could endanger personal safety.

5 live Connect is a new feature and you may notice bugs. So, please let us know if you do and feel free to send us suggestions to make it a better service by using the contact us form.

Some small print...

The Connect page will display a maximum of 50 messages. This is to ensure it doesn't become too long to scroll through and too big to download. We may consider increasing the number of messages displayed in the near future.

We cannot rotate any pictures you send from your mobile, so if possible please try and send them in the correct orientation.

By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, video or audio) with the BBC you agree to grant to the BBC, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons). You can read more detail about contributions to the BBC on the Terms of Use page.

We hope you enjoy and participate in the service.
