1XTRA NEWS: THE REAL TALK OF THE STREETS
Does she deserve more?
Heather Mills
Heather Mills has been awarded £24.3m in her divorce deal with Sir Paul McCartney.
In the settlement she gets £14m for herself and £2.5m to buy a house in London.

More details of the settlement are set to come out now a judge's told Heather Mills she can't stop them being published.

Sir Paul will also pay £35,000 a year in nanny and school fees for their daughter Beatrice.

It's thought Sir Paul's got an estimated fortune of over £800m.
Was the settlement a fair judgement? Or should Heather Mills, as the ex-wife have been entitled to half of her husband's fortune? Let us know...

theodora
yeah. when he decided to marry her he new the risk he would face if they divorced. share of assets if you have more then its tough. everyone will say something negative but at the end of the day if you were in her shoes you would do the same. no doubt.

Yusuf
Dear Miss Mills, you should dearly keep the money and ignore all sad comments as you do deserve it.... in which ground? well, let me remind lot of you who thinks ill of her. After-all Heather was married and therefore she is entitle for something does not matter how much she end up receiving. 24 millions Bingoooooooooo

Win
She is a disgrace to the cause for women. I can understand when marriages go wrong, but she should have acted with dignity, and thought about the consequences of her behaviour as far as her daughter is concerned.

Jane
If women want independence, why depend on your partners earnings.?.You leave, you make your own way, just as you should have done during the relationship. Stop making the guys victims !!

Michael Monagolum
I have never commented on a story before, whether in the newspapers or the internet. However I must let it be known that the sight and sound of this "woman" makes me physically ill.

Jon
I'm sure most people would try and get as much as possible bu no way does she deserve it or have a right to it, he earnt it all. It's a joke the she get's 600,000 a year living costs.

Depa
Who cares? I wish the media would stop going on about it.

Colin
I don't agree with Heather getting ANY money. What on earth was Paul thinking of when he married her?

Christine
No, I don't believe Ms. Mills should have been awarded this amount of money. I don't really understand why Sir Paul did not have a pre-nup = head scratcher.

Leroy
I have no qualms with Heather Mills trying to grab as much dosh as possible. I would probably do the same in her position. However her whole attempt of trying to assume the moral high ground, and fighting for the cause of women or the underepresented by an all powerful elite is rather sickening. Does she think the public is stupid!! She is only fighting for dough and not for a higher cause as she claims.!!

Susanna
I am probably more upset for Sir Paul than he is. I can understand the financial agreement for child support..but the settlement amount awarded to this gold-digger who did not contribute in supporting Paul throughout his extraordinary career is totally absurd! Older financially secure men + marriage to much younger women = Financial Distress

Janet
The sight of Heather Mills makes me ill. The whole world knows how and when Paul made his money! We were there! I am glad for him, that it wasn't more. Poor Linda must be turning over in her grave. Paul married for love. His long and happy marriage to Linda, shows the kind of husband he is. At least he's finally rid of Heather!

SuperGee
So her name was always Heather MILLS right?? So does that not tell you that she was in it for the money from the off? Enough money now to change her middle name, by deed poll to Heather 'Twenty Three Point Four' Mills.

SuperGee (In Singapore)
Currently, 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce... With this 'victory' for Ms Mills, watch that figure soar... She was entitled to nothing. He had ammassed his fortune years before he met her. Apparently, he offered her 15m previously, but she turned it down, as she wanted 125m... Greedy and Ridiculous...A Pre nump should be standard issue for ALL marriages... similar to a temporary work contract..

kev
i think she should not have the money.

Stanners
She came into his life way too late to expect anything from his empire. I can't believe that she is taking 24 million. 5 would have more than set her up and yet she gets 5 times that. Also she is quoted as moaning that her daughter only gets 35grand a year. Thats more than I earn and i am a graduate in a good job!!!

DJ Valentyne
Everyone with me on this 'she take my money when im in need she was with mccartney now shes makin him bleed. why does anyone need that amount of money? what for. i understand about the child support but c'mon i know if my dad was payin that when i was a young' n i would of been drivin a ferrari at the age of 17.

this is madness she doesnt deserve a penny all. she deserves child support, she didnt build an empire, she dint make the music, she wasnt the revolutionary that changed the world she deserves a pat on the back for a good try and the child support thats it. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!PEACE!!!!!!!!!

Mike
How can she be awarded nearly £25 million then say that it's sad that her daughter's had to go through it all? She's set for life! McCartney's a living legend and earnt his money, she should take the money on the table and keep it quiet!
