1XTRA NEWS: THE REAL TALK OF THE STREETS
Tupac: First martyr of hip hop
Tupac Shakur
Are you a Tupac fan? He's definitely one of the biggest and most controversial icons of hip hop.
In the wake of the 10th anniversary of Tupac's death, 1Xtra explores his music, accomplishments, influence and political voice.

We talk to Pac's family and friends, including stepbrother Mopreme Shakur, managers Leila Steinberg and Astron Gregory, and close friend Ray Luv.

Listen now to our portrait of an ambitious, idealistic, complex and unpredictable artist who became the voice of his generation.
Why is Tupac still regarded as an icon 10 years after his death? What do you think of the posthumous releases? Who was better: Biggie or Tupac? Republican vice president Dan Quayle said Pac's music had 'no place in our society'. What do you think? Leave your tributes here....

To understand Tupac and his brilliance one simply needs to listen to his politically accaimed lyrics in 'CHANGES' in this rap Tupac addressed the political and social structure in the USA. Listen to this rap close your eyes analyze to what was said and meant. Now look at American politics. Who was best between Tupac and Biggie?? Biggie prodomantly projected rags to richies stories. Tupac on the other hand questioned society and politics more!!This my opinion...Agatha, London

In my opinion, Tupac was a voice for the people all over the world. He educated America about the condition situations results and most importantly how to heals not just the black communities but all communities all over the world and reminded the world about how important it is for a mother and a father to raise a child. Tupac is and will always be number 1. God Bless And Thank You For Allowing Us The Opportunity For Greater Day Ahead Through Your Timeless Music. Tupac Will Live Forever In Our Hearts Here In Jackson, Mississippi !
