If Sway wanted to get signed, he would've been signed timmmmmme ago. Any label that does sign him would also be stupid to restrict his creative controls as it would cap his natural humour. I think sway should be signed because i think he is the type of artist who will not change his style for the wider market, and i think you could sell his current style to a wider market anyway because it is so diverse. So I think we can only see good things from sway gettin signed to a major label cos he will push the UK scene forward. Cant wait for the album.

Only if that is what he wants to do...I believe that if he does decide to get signed creative control needs to be part of the deal otherwise it may not really be the Sway that we love right now...not saying that he will change overnight but the label may try to commercialise him to a point that no-one (us) will really be feeling it. It'd be a BIG look if he started his own label like Jay-Z & sign himself.

And I do believe it's possible to stay true to your art & make a living, however, it's most definitely important to stay true to yourself done't watch no face. It's been done before & it's a good look.

I think sway is one of the best new grime artists out because of his own unique style. I think he should get signed so he can make some money and get out there. When he gets famous he can decide if he wants to make his own label and be independent. But he should definately not change his stlye for anyone. The main thing is that he should get an album out soon so his fans dont forget about him or lose interest.

I was thinking along similar lines. The last UK cat to blow really big was Dizzee Rascal- the most grimiest moodiest little street urchin at the time- and that's why he was considered 'real', obviously along with his talent. Sway is on more of a conscious tip and because of that maybe he won't be considered 'real' in the current climate which is wrong cause he's good. It is bad that negativity is so prolific, skills and originality need to come first and be appreciated. I could see Sway blowing up but the UKs a funny market...
