1XTRA NEWS: THE REAL TALK OF THE STREETS
So Solid
So Solid
speaker
Cristal flowing, Audi TT's rolling, big budget videos, No1 track....that was So Solid at the top of their game.
So Solid went platinum when they took Garage off the streets and into the charts.

But things went downhill when a man was shot at one of their gigs and then brushes with the law for serious offences like guns and murder followed.

Lisa Mafia pours her heart out while Harvey gets real, "On a daily basis we had to deal with this hate...from your own people." Was it the haters who destroyed So Solid?
Were So Solid victims of hype? Would you like to see them make a comeback? So you consider So Solid as pioneers? What's your favourite So Solid track? What are your best memories of the crew?

So Solid were defineately pioneers and paved the way for other collectives like Boy Better Know & Roll Deep.I rate So Solid, no one can doubt their abilities in beat making & song writing."Since You Went Away" is a quality tune and highlights how much they have grown up, I just hope that their haters have grown up aswell!!There are loads of groups & artists on the UK Urban scene making a living talking about how much drugs they have sold or how many guns they own and that they will shoot people and BLA BLA BLA!!! 2010 should be So Solid's year - without their input to the scene I doubt very much that we would have seen as much talent make it into the mainstream as we have in the past few years.

21 seconds to go, was brilliant. i would like to hear some of their new works. Take That came back after all they went through. Let's see another great british group reform, come back So Solid Crew.

They wrote, produced, sang rapped, they were totally ahead of their game young and gifted and commited to putting out out good music there has never been anyone like them before or after their fans embraced and enjoyed. In life we all make mistakes we have to learn and move on.The goverment made it personal which was plain to see.I truly stand by them So Solid for life!!!!!!!

Yes they definately deserve a comeback. All the young ones now owe their char success to SoSolid. They broke down the barriers that helped young blcak garage hiphop stars breakthrough and get into the mainstream music industry. Give the group a break. if Jedward ca get through and they have no talent surely the pioneers of british garage and hiphop should be given that 2nd chance.

I'm up for So Solid making a comeback. I loved the group and never really understood why they split. I never listened to the gossip surrounding them and didn't even hear much of the gossip about them anyway. They made good music and it's a shame they split. They are one of the GREAT bands that got away.Love Asher D and would love to see him with the group. Seeing Harvey's face would irritate me though but I'll just overlook him.

They helped the UK 'Urban' scene so much, and then blew it in 21 seconds of madness.

So Solid were the first to make it in music industry they started the game and deserve to make a come back. Everyone needs to stop listening to the gossip and the government and start hearing the music.
