The number of young people not in employment, education or training (NEETS) is set to hit the million mark this year and at least 50 graduates are going after one job. In our documentary The Next Step - Ross, 21, tells us: "People with more experience are more valuable but that makes it hard for people who are trying to get into the job market" Yet it's not all doom and gloom... 18-year-old Shakira is optimistic: "People are still hiring and you can even go abroad because the world's your oyster" Iain Wright, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for 14-19-year-old Reform and Apprenticeships says: "Young people are going to change this country's destiny, it's as important as that."
