Arthur France is the founder of the Leeds Carnival which started in 1967 . He said: "The costumes the steel bands and the people it was just an amazing time."

In Generation Carnival we hear from his daughter Asher who tells us: "He's passed the baton down to myself. As my daughter grows up definitely I'll be passing that baton down to her."

We also meet Bugsy, 21, an up-and-coming artist from Bristol. He reckons: "Dubstep at carnival is for the younger generation and the people who like new music."
