You can hear it in hip hop, UK garage records, it's all gravy and it's even got shiny pop acts like No Doubt sampling the Kingston style.

Dancehall music or, as some people call it, bashment or ragga, takes the vibes of traditional reggae and mashes it up with the beats and booty of American hip hop and RnB.

dancehall as been around before i was born it has always been underground. Just now artist have been signed up nd making music videos. I dont like the fact that its becoming commerical, but theres nothing can do about it. I love the music, the hype it has, the new dances it brings to dance and all the riddim tracks!
