1XTRA NEWS: THE REAL TALK OF THE STREETS
Cry rape
Man with head in his hands
Victims of rape get total anonymity but should the accused? Even if they're innocent?
Imagine you've been out, met a girl, you both get drunk, have fun but the next thing you know you're accused of committing rape.

1Xtra hears from the men who've gone on to be cleared and ask them did they deserve more protection.

Ben's accuser ended up in prison for her false allegation while Jason found out his accuser had cried rape three times before.

**** Warning: Some listeners might find the start of this documentary disturbing****
Should the identities of men who've been accused of rape be protected until proven guilty? Tell us what you think...

innocent till proven guilty.

If we are talking one night stands here, this may be wrong and i'd be interested to hear what people think but a mobile phones sound recording application proves a valid tool for the young man out having fun. Of course if kept only for the sole purpose should anything go wrong. You cant trust anyone in this age, girls crying rape, saying drinks are spiked is also common when clearly they were just drunk and then there is also those that go out to get pregnant so they can get a house and a portion of the man's wage it's all wrong...... dont get me wrong i am not a woman hater but observe these things more and more recently!

Jessica
My brother is in prison as I write this. His accuser cried rape because she cheated on her boyfriend with my brother. The more disturbing thing is, this girl when to Vegas a couple of days after it happened! Men who are truly innocent are having their lives ruined b/c of girls lying. We have to fight for young men because its they who are being raped now!

I am in the same position as you Helen. My family is going through a terrible time at the moment, and you are right there is no one to help.
