Because of the amount of time it takes to find out, we're not always able to help with these questions, but if it's obvious to us then we'll let you know.

If you just send a message asking for the name of a record and "Richie Vibe Vee played it last week" or "a while ago you played a track with a female rapper" (both genuine requests) then that's too vague and we can't help! You can find out about some songs we're playing at the moment on the playlist page.

The tracklisting for each show can be found on the DJ's homepage. Daytime show don't currently archive their tracklistings but you can get an idea of what they've been playing from the playlist page.

We'll listen to anybody's music if you want to send it in! The best thing to do is to send it to the producer of the show that you want to get your music on - if you don't know who the producer is, mark your envelope for the "Producer of Show X". The address is: 1Xtra, PO Box 1X, London, W1A.

The weekday daytime shows on 1Xtra have music selected mainly from the playlist, with other tracks featuring throughout each show. Evening and night time shows are unplaylisted and play anything and everything.
