UK Cup Clash 2007 contenders
Silverstar's Gussy gives you the lowdown on the Sounds competing in this year's UK Cup Clash.
Find out all about them and then tell us who you think will win.
Bass Odyssey (Jamaica)
From "way out in the country", St Anns, Jamaica, the returning champs and holders of the New York World Clash title are always strong contenders. They are always fully loaded with the latest dubs plus vintage classics.
Mighty Crown (Japan)
"The Far East Rulers" from Japan were missing from last year's clash due to a bereavement in their family, but expect them to be back in the thick of the action this year spending some serious Yen on the big international dub plates from hip hop to reggae.
Black Kat (Jamaica)
"The Five Star General" Pink Panther from Christiana Jamaica was also missing from last year's clash and due to the strength of this years competition may be considered an underdog. This is dangerous for his opposition as he is a veteran stage performer.
Sound Trooper (Jamaica)
"The Serial Killer" Ricky Trooper from Kingston, Jamaica was runner-up last year and is arguably the biggest name in sound clash history. Watch out for some sample Vybz Kartel dubs.
King Addies (USA)
"The Billboard Sound" from New York, USA have barely been on the clash scene for the past few years. But they are known as arguably the biggest clash sound system in history based outside of Jamaica. Addies can never be written off with their collection of vintage dubs and if the rumours that selector Babyface will return to the sound for this clash then anything can happen because no one knows the dub box better than him.

Love Injection (UK)
Hailing from Birmingham, UK, Luv Injection have clashed with all the top sounds in the industry over the years so will bring a wealth of experience to this year's competition. Along with Bass Odyssey and King Addies, they are known for having an enormous catalogue of classic Bounty Killer dub plates.

Also from Birmingham, UK, Immortal really made their name when they were finalists in 2005's UK Cup Clash which was, surprisingly, their first time competing in the event. Since then they have gone on represent the UK in clashes all over the world. So although they are young compared to the other sounds, expect them to be fully prepared for this event.
