Young Lion Young Lion
Riddim up
(July 2006)

Riddims are considered by many to be the backbone of dancehall. Young Lion puts his finger on three of the hottest on road right now.

Sess Retro
This riddim from UK producer Curtis Lynch reminds me of Steeve and Cleevie's Streetsweeper riddim.

It's a wicked old skool mix down which the UK artists ride as good as their Jamaican peers. JD comes out tops as he brings us back to a style which many dancehall fans grew up on.

Dem Time Deh
Huge production coming from Leftside and Esco (Giggy riddim). This riddim reminds me of an old favourite Pepperseed.

This is definitely a riddim that will get ya stomach shaking as it booms through the speakers.

Zulu
I first heard this riddim from the Trackhouse label (based in Miami) and thought it was too different. Upon replaying it, I now can't get enough of it!

Movado, who is a very strong up and coming singjay, shows us why he is one to watch out for.
